Job Description:
As a Scrum Master, you will serve as a servant leader and facilitator for multiple Agile teams, ensuring effective implementation of Scrum and Kanban practices while fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement. You will guide teams in adopting Agile principles, remove impediments, and ensure smooth delivery of project objectives. This role requires strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities to support both technical and non-technical stakeholders while enabling teams to achieve high performance and self-organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitate Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives, and demos
• Act as a liaison between technical and non-technical teams to ensure clear communication
• Coach team members on Agile best practices, including backlog management and user story development
• Track and report team velocity, sprint progress, and overall delivery performance
• Remove impediments and resolve issues that may impact team productivity
• Promote Agile principles such as collaboration, transparency, and accountability
• Assist with backlog grooming and ensure quality and readiness of user stories
• Support prioritization and resolution of defects and issues
• Foster continuous improvement through retrospectives and process enhancements
• Develop and maintain team documentation, standards, and working agreements
• Facilitate conflict resolution and encourage team self-organization
• Provide transparency and communication to stakeholders on project status and risks

Required Skills, Experiences, Education, and Competencies:

• Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification required
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Strong experience working as a Scrum Master or in Agile environments
• In-depth understanding of Agile methodologies, Scrum frameworks, and software development lifecycle
• Ability to understand and communicate technical concepts effectively
• Experience monitoring team performance metrics and driving process improvements
• Strong facilitation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Proven ability to manage multiple teams, priorities, and deadlines
• Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
• Self-motivated with the ability to foster a collaborative team environment
• Experience with Scaled Agile (SAFe) frameworks and certification (preferred)
• Experience working in cross-functional and enterprise-level Agile teams (preferred)

The hourly range for roles of this nature are $50.00 to $80.00/hr. Rates are heavily dependent on skills, experience, location, and industry.
