Job Description

1. Native‑level English proficiency (native English speaker).
2. Must possess at least one of the following recognized professional qualifications:

‑ CELTA / CertTESOL / Trinity DipTESOL

 ‑ MA TEAP

• MEd ELT
• MA Applied Linguistics (specialized in English linguistics)
• PGCE with a focus on EAP / ELT

1. Minimum 2 years of verified EAP teaching experience, higher‑education teaching background is highly preferred. Candidates should be familiar with EAP course design and the learning characteristics of university‑age learners.
2. Able to provide authenticated police clearance certificate and pass the mandatory medical check‑up required for China work‑permit application.
3. Be available to complete all Z‑Visa procedures and report for duty in Chengdu by October 8.

Demonstrates professional teaching ethics, good communication and teamwork skills; willing to engage in department‑level teaching‑research activities. 6.Short version (for recruiter sharing / job board posting) 1. Deliver scheduled EAP / Academic English classes following the university curriculum framework. Course content covers academic listening, seminar discussion skills, academic text reading, literature summary, argumentative essay writing, academic presentations and other EAP‑focused modules. 2. Prepare lesson plans, design student‑centered classroom activities, and develop supplementary teaching materials appropriate for university‑level EAP learners. 3. Assign homework, mark student essays, presentations and assessments, provide constructive feedback, complete grading and maintain accurate teaching records as required by the university. 4. Offer regular office‑hour support for student consultation, addressing learners’ difficulties in academic language use. 5. Attend department teaching meetings, seminars and professional development workshops; take part in curriculum review, teaching resource development and other collaborative research‑related tasks. 6. Invigilate examinations, complete exam‑related administrative work and submit required teaching documentation on time. 7. Participate optionally in campus‑wide English‑themed events such as lectures, English corners and cultural activities to enrich the campus foreign‑language atmosphere. 8. Comply with university teaching regulations and complete administrative procedures related to foreign faculty.
