Your Opportunity Stantec is seeking a Wildlife Biologist to join our team of environmental professionals. This position would preferably be based in our Kansas City (Overland Park), Kansas office. Our Natural Resources team spends much of the growing season in the field completing avian and wildlife surveys/monitoring, habitat assessments, wetland delineations, evaluating potential restoration sites, soil surveys, vegetation surveys, as well as office duties including, but not limited to, data analysis, reporting, restoration plans and permit application development. On a day-to-day basis, our team members also create databases and analyze field data, conduct literature research, and write environmental documents, including but not limited to: environmental assessments, environmental impact statements, biological assessments for threatened and endangered species, habitat conservation plans, permit applications and other technical reports. The team also evaluates data and creates maps using ArcGIS, coordinates with local, state, and federal agencies, and communicates with our clients. Our team works on a variety of projects while specializing in their passion and building a well-rounded base of experience.
