Job Description
Rutherford County: Immediate opening for a Staff Accountant in Murfreesboro, TN. Avoid the Nashville traffic! As a key member of the finance and accounting team, you will be assist with the financial reporting of our Corporate Accounting Department and assist with coordinating month and year-end close. A large part of this job is helping out with anything tax-related that tax experience is required. We are looking for new accounting professionals with 2+ years of corporate accounting experience and an Associate's degree in Accounting is required. (Bachelor's degree preferred.) The ability to meet deadlines, work in a complex accounting and finance environment, and offer solid Excel skills is a must.
salary: $60,000 - $62,500 per year
shift: First
work hours: 8 AM - 5 PM

Responsibilities
- Monthly sales tax returns and filings
- Business tax filings and property tax returns
- Reconcile various GL accounts, A/R, and bank deposits
- Handle yearly 1099's
- Set up new vendors; provide support to accounting assistants when needed
- Assist with month end and year end close
