We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Grinder to join our team. The Grinder will be responsible for operating and maintaining grinding machines to ensure high-quality production of various components and materials. The ideal candidate has a strong commitment to safety, quality, and efficiency in a manufacturing environment.

**Key Responsibilities:**
- Set up and operate grinding machines following established procedures and guidelines.
- Interpret blueprints, sketches, or engineering specifications to plan grinding operations.
- Select and install grinding wheels and attachments appropriate for the workpiece.
- Monitor machine operations to determine whether adjustments are necessary and make adjustments as needed.
- Inspect and measure finished workpieces to ensure they meet specifications using precision measuring tools.
- Perform routine maintenance on grinding machines and ensure the workspace is clean and safe.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to identify and solve production challenges.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures during machine operations and tool handling.
- The Grinder will grind, blast and polish metals using hand and power tools.
- Clean and grind castings, read and interpret drawings, and assist in the shop.
- Operate an overhead crane and a forklift pending training and qualification by client company.
**Qualifications:**
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid photo ID and Social Security Card
- One year experience as a Grinder in a manufacturing environment.
- Must be able to read and write English and be able to convert fractions to decimals with ability to read machinist scales.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical blueprints and diagrams.
- Familiarity with various grinding machines and operational techniques.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to solve technical problems.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing quality results.
**Physical Requirements:**
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift materials up to 70 pounds as needed.
- Manual dexterity and strong hand-eye coordination.
**PE such as hard hat and safety glasses will be provided by client.
