Project Engineer - Civil Construction (Entry Level)
Experience Level: 6 months - 2 years (Internships accepted)

Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated Entry-Level Project Engineer to support our civil construction team. This role is ideal for an early-career professional looking to grow within the general contracting / civil construction industry . The Project Engineer will assist with day-to-day project coordination, documentation, and communication to help ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and on budget.

Key Responsibilities

Assist Project Managers and Superintendents with daily project operations

Support project documentation including RFIs, submittals, and meeting minutes

Help track schedules, material deliveries, and subcontractor activities

Review project drawings and specifications

Assist with quantity takeoffs and cost tracking

Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams

Participate in jobsite meetings and site walks

Support project closeout and documentation

Qualifications

6 months to 2 years of experience in construction (internships acceptable)

General contracting or civil construction experience preferred

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field highly preferred

Strong organizational and communication skills

Ability to read and interpret construction drawings

Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)

Eagerness to learn and grow within the construction industry

Preferred

Internship or co-op experience with a General Contractor or civil contractor

Exposure to heavy civil, sitework, utilities, or infrastructure projects

Familiarity with project management or construction software
