Job Description

Do you have an eye for detail that others don't? Are you the person who catches the typo, notices the missing signature, or spots when something just doesn't look right? Do you enjoy work that requires focus, accuracy, and problem-solving? If so, this could be the opportunity you've been looking for.

About the Company:

For over 50 years, our client has set the gold standard in the mortgage lending industry, providing timely, accurate, and compliant closing documents for more than 5 million residential loan transactions nationwide. Their reputation for precision, compliance, and exceptional client service has made them a trusted partner to mortgage lenders across the country.
As the organization continues to grow, they are seeking detail-oriented professionals to join their legal team and help ensure the accuracy and integrity of the legal entity documents that support residential lending transactions. If you enjoy working in a structured environment where accuracy matters and your attention to detail makes a real impact, this is an opportunity to build a rewarding career with an industry leader.

The Opportunity:

We are seeking a Legal Assistant to join a growing legal team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career in the legal field without needing prior law firm experience or a paralegal certificate.

In this role, you'll work alongside experienced attorneys reviewing legal entity documents to ensure they meet legal and regulatory requirements. You'll learn how businesses are structured, how organizational documents work, and how to identify issues that could impact legal compliance.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys detail-oriented work, thrives in a structured environment, and takes pride in getting things right the first time.

What You'll Be Doing:
  • Reviewing organizational documents such as Articles of Incorporation, Articles of Organization, Operating Agreements, Bylaws, and Resolutions
  • Identifying missing information, inconsistencies, and potential deficiencies
  • Verifying ownership information, authorized signers, registered agents, and other key entity details
  • Following established review procedures and compliance guidelines
  • Maintaining accurate electronic records and documentation
  • Working closely with attorneys and legal professionals to resolve issues
What Makes Someone Successful in This Role?
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong reading comprehension and analytical skills
  • The ability to remain focused while reviewing high volumes of documentation
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • The ability to follow detailed processes and procedures
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
  • A desire to learn and grow professionally
No paralegal certificate? No legal experience? That's okay.

Our client is willing to train the right person. They're looking for individuals with the aptitude, work ethic, and attention to detail necessary to succeed in a legal environment. Success in this role is driven far more by your ability to learn, think critically, and maintain accuracy than by previous legal experience.

What You'll Gain:
  • Comprehensive, hands-on training from experienced attorneys and legal professionals
  • Competitive compensation and benefits
  • Clear opportunities for career growth and advancement within the legal department
  • Exposure to a nationally recognized leader in the mortgage lending industry
This role is a great fit for recent graduates, administrative professionals, mortgage industry professionals, title professionals, document specialists, and others who enjoy detail-oriented work and are looking to build a long-term career.

If you're highly organized, naturally curious, and enjoy work that requires precision and attention to detail, apply today to learn more.
