Title: HIL Engineer (Hardware-in-the-Loop)

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced HIL Engineer to support the expansion of next-generation vehicle validation systems. This is a highly hands-on engineering role requiring ownership of Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) environments from architecture and setup through integration, test development, and validation.
The ideal candidate has built or stood up HIL systems from scratch and has direct automotive domain experience in one or more of the following areas:
Low Voltage Systems (Highest Priority)
Body Control Systems
Power Distribution / Electronic Fuse Systems
Vehicle Motion Controls / Dynamics
Thermal Systems
Zone Architecture
Key Responsibilities
Design, build, and deploy HIL systems from the ground up
Translate system requirements into validation plans and test strategies
Perform electrical integration, wiring, and ECU I/O mapping
Configure and integrate CAN, LIN, and Ethernet communication networks
Develop and maintain MATLAB/Simulink models
Develop automated test scripts and validation procedures
Debug system-level issues and support root-cause analysis
Collaborate with Controls, Embedded Software, Electrical, and Systems Engineering teams
Required Qualifications
4+ years of HIL engineering experience
Proven experience building HIL systems from scratch
Strong dSPACE experience (Required)
MATLAB / Simulink expertise
CAN, LIN, and Ethernet integration experience
ECU integration and I/O mapping experience
System-level validation experience
Preferred Qualifications
Vector CANoe / CANalyzer
Vehicle diagnostics experience
Automotive prototype or R&D program experience
Formula SAE or competitive vehicle engineering background
Prior title of HIL Engineer
