Job Description

We are recruiting a rental Generator Technician to join a growing power generation team in Pinehurst, TX. This primarily shop-based role focuses on maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and preparing diesel and natural gas generator systems and related rental equipment for commercial and industrial customers.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities who can work independently while supporting equipment reliability, uptime, and customer readiness across the rental fleet.

Position Offers

• Up to $42/hr depending on experience. If your target pay is higher, we still encourage you to apply—we could request adjustments based on experience and market conditions.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain diesel and natural gas generator systems and related rental equipment

• Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, load bank testing, and operational readiness checks

• Troubleshoot ATS systems, generator controls, control panels, and electrical/mechanical issues

• Support minor generator startups, equipment preparation, and rental fleet turnaround activities

• Load and unload rental equipment while assisting with shop and yard operations

• Complete service documentation, communicate equipment status updates, and support customers and internal teams as needed

• Maintain safe work practices while working independently in the shop and occasionally in the field

Requirements

• 3+ years of generator technician experience supporting commercial or industrial power generation equipment

• Strong troubleshooting ability with diesel and natural gas generators, electrical systems, controls, and ATS equipment

• Experience with generator control panels, preventative maintenance, and load bank testing preferred

• Ability to work independently with minimal day-to-day supervision in a shop environment

• Experience with Kohler generators and controls preferred

• Must provide personal hand tools and meters required for the role
