Transworld Business Advisors is a leading international provider of full-service business brokerage, M&A advisory, franchise consulting, and franchise development. Being a Business Advisor / Agent / Broker in our Canton office is a unique way to serve the community that is highly attractive for those who have worked either as a business owner or someone who has served business owners and provided essential services. This position will allow to you focus on the mission of helping people buy and sell businesses, franchises, understand their company valuations, and solve business problems.
For those who have spent their career in Corporate America and are tired of the rat race and heavy travel demands, this position would allow one to use their functional expertise and project management skills to help the small to lower mid-market business sector. Working on one's own schedule could mean more time for family, friends, and community. All while still maintaining the high income level that comes with Corporate America.


Commissioned based. Individuals in this role earn based on performance and productivity against commission plan parameters. Typical Qualified Commissions are 10k to 30k per transaction with an expectation of 2 per quarter.

Role Descriptio n

  • Your primary duties as a Business Broker are fourfold based upon our service offerings:
  • Business Brokerage: You will build relationships with small business owners and help them prepare their business to be confidentially listed. Once the business is listed you will be the transaction manager for the buyer screening, offer, due diligence, and closing processes.
  • Business Valuation: You will help business owners review prior financials, cash flows, market conditions, record keeping, and other elements to provide a Broker's Opinion of Value (BOV).
  • Franchise Consulting: You will help prospective franchise buyers find and purchase the right franchise based upon their wants, skill sets, financial ability and earning expectations. We have partnerships with hundreds of Franchisors with whom we can present to potential providers
  • Franchise Development: You will help outstanding local businesses grow their business through becoming a franchisor.

Your secondary duties will be to building your network, marketing for new small business listings, and participating in management team meetings and strategy sessions. We have a team-based approach to the business and we will work together on many transactions. Our culture demands a cooperative approach across the entire organization. While you will operate as an entrepreneur, the firm will provide a multitude of support functions to help drive your sales success, including, but not limited to, marketing and lead generating activities, administrative support, initial training, continued career development, technology platforms, and team based selling and client support.


Qualifications

  • Experience with Business Ownership, Business Brokerage, Insurance Strategies, Finance, or Sales preferred.
  • Strong analytical and financial skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as a team player
  • Networking and negotiation skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or equivalent experience
  • An entrepreneurial spirit and passion for the Main Street businesses.
