What You’ll Do as a Bookkeeper:

  • Maintain accurate financial records using accounting software, primarily QuickBooks Desktop.
  • Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payment processing.
  • Process payroll, including reviewing and totaling employee timecards.
  • Reconcile bank statements and prepare monthly financial reports.
  • File and remit sales tax.
  • Monitor business and vehicle insurance policies.
  • Handle occasional administrative tasks and local errands as needed.

The Ideal Bookkeeper:

  • Accounting Software Expert: Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience using accounting software QuickBooks. Strong QuickBooks Desktop experience is required and will be a major factor in candidate selection.
  • Experienced: At least 2 years of bookkeeping experience required. Payroll processing experience is preferred.
  • Organized & Detail-Oriented: Maintains accurate financial records, manages multiple responsibilities independently, and consistently meets deadlines.
  • Team-Minded: Contributes positively within a small, collaborative work environment.
  • Computer Skills: Comfortable using Microsoft Word, Excel, email, and other office software for daily communication and reporting.

What the Company Offers:

  • Full-time position, 40 hours per week
  • Monday-Friday schedule (5 eight-hour days or 4 ten-hour days)
  • Potential overtime during busy seasonal periods
